The following are our news media resources for Austin and Travis County. All of these materials are available for use in our Reading Room and some are also available on the Internet.

Austin American-Statesman
Daily newspaper, indexed online since 1981 for items of local interest. Complete run from 1871 on microfilm. Available on CD-ROM for keyword searching and retrieval of full-text articles from 1989 to 1995. The full text of articles from 1989 through the present is also available on the Internet at all Austin Public Library locations.

Austin Business Journal
Weekly source for business information in central Texas. Includes a list of new incorporations in the greater Austin area. Selected articles from the current issue are available on the WWW, as well as major articles from issues dating back to June 1996.

Teleclip—Local News Broadcasts
Video recordings of television news from each of four local network affiliates, ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC. Logbooks listing the stories broadcast on each day by each of the stations are available in the Reading Room. Duplication broadcasts are available only from Teleclip Inc. Videotape. The Austin History Center has tapes going back to 1984.
